Here we come across Parable, but before we get into the deep discussion about this chapter,
We need to understand few important points about parables
Parables are Models according to Matthew 13:10-13
Jesus spoke in parables. The reason is so that those who are supposed to understand the mystery do understand and those who aren’t supposed to understand the mystery don’t
This means that people who claim that Jesus can’t be understood or that life is a mystery are actually testifying about themselves…they are publicly proclaiming they aren’t “given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven”.
A parable is an explanation of truth using common experiences
What make parables so powerful is they continue to teach…even today. This is because they are made up non-contradictory analogies…they can continually be applied and unfolded to reveal even greater truths. Parables are made up of numerous analogies
Let’s come back to our discussion – Matthew 25
Here we see virgins, who went out to meet Bridegroom, and light Him to the house.
Please Read this words very carefully
At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish and five were wise. 3 The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4 The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5 The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
6 “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’
7 “Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8 The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’
9 “‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’
10 “But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.
11 “Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’
12 “But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’
13 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.
We see that, it talks
- Absence of Christ
- Few are selected
- Few left behind
- Coming back of Christ
We need to understand how would the coming day, before the Christ come. Today where do we stand , are we prepared or just lead the way we are living to, how many are really aware that Christ died for you and he is coming back, to take his people how belong to him,
Are you one of them? Question yourself today, otherwise you will be left out behind,
Even if you knock the door, ||“But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’
|| Matthew 25:12,
Come let us prepare ourselves for the second coming of Jesus, fulfill all responsibilities that Jesus have given us to do.
